About the "Bubba Burner"

Why does the Bubba Burner Work?

Because of the low thermal conductivity of the insulation--the lowest available with today's technology--the applied heat energy that is trying to escape is stopped from going through the "Bubba Burner" and is transferred to the frozen ground in the most efficient manner.

Spun-Ceramic Insulation

The Bubba Burner uses spun-ceramic insulation developed for the space shuttle to force as much heat energy as possible into the ground and to ensure complete safety for your customers and the public. All other types of insulation have chemical or glue that hold the fibers together. The Bubba Burner's spun-ceramic insulation is 100% ceramic fibers that are woven together by a patented process called needling. The insulation in the Bubba Burner will outlast all others.

Torches

The Bubba Burner uses Thawmaster torches as a heat source. These torches have been used in the utility industry for over 25 years and are the most efficient heat source available today. One 20lb LP tank will supply enough fuel to operate a Bubba Burner for 36 hours. Bubba Burners are refueled in the field and do not have to be brought to an LP station. Remember time equals money.

Bubba Blankets

The Bubba Burner blankets account for 50% of the thaw at 20% of the cost. They are lightweight and easy to use, but are the most fragile component of the Bubba Burner system. Mishandling and/or improper installation can cause damage to the blankets; care must be taken with their use.
