About Frost Belt Utilities
Frost Belt Utilities is a company that manufactures
and contracts for use a frost removal device known as the Bubba Burner.

#5441038 issued August 15, 1995) used to thaw frozen ground, allowing the
safe and economical excavation around buried utilities. Compliance with

About the name Bubba Burner
Bruce is a line crew foreman for Xcel Energy
(formerly Northern States Power). His nickname at work is Bubba, so when the
first prototype was being field tested at NSP the name Bubba Burner was used
by the crews and the name stuck.
